Data processing through this website
I do not wish to collect personal data through this website. However, I have provided a contact form, to enable organisations to contact me about obtaining legal support, or for making enquiries about my availability for speaking engagements. In theory, it is possible to treat some business email addresses as ‘personal data’. In this case, I am the controller of such personal data.
The contact form is not to be used by individuals to send unsolicited information about their personal data protection, privacy or security problems, because I will not be able help.
Purpose of data processing
Any personal data received through the contact form that concerns a request for legal support will be used solely for the purpose of deciding whether to accept a person or organisation as a client and for keeping a record of any transactions. If you decide to use the contact form to send unsolicited personal data about your personal problems, I will read your message to determine whether it is relevant to my business and I will delete it straightaway, if it is not relevant. Most messages received from individuals about their personal problems will be treated this way.
Any personal data received through the contact form that concerns an enquiry about a speaking engagement will be used solely for the purposes of promoting my business. The same applies for email addresses received through the mailing list subscription function.
I will only share your information with PwC Legal LLP and PwC LLP where that is necessary for the purposes of supplying services, or to confirm my ability to take part in a speaking engagement. I will not share your information with any other third parties, unless I am required to do so by law.
The very limited data processing operations performed through this website fall within the exemptions from notification contained in The Data Protection (Notification and Notification Fees) Regulations 2000. Therefore, I do not need to register as a data controller with the Information Commissioner.
